West says: empty mind is devils workshop
East says : empty mind can only attain salvation

One thing for sure, my mind is all empty and i am 100% sure about that. It all started with the quest to break the ice and utilise the brain, way back, while i was still a child making effort to speed up my Growth (G – Green symbolises Growth – my favorite); nways here goes the story, keeping it short, the surge of ideas which choked my brain in class 3 and i pledged 🙂 to throw ‘Amer Ali’ (of class 6) from first floor of our school, when he bullied my classmate. Time rolled on and the thought that one day this seniority of ‘Amer Ali’ will be a curse for him , somewhere after 30 years when in my veins will flow the blood 3 years younger to his then i will take this revenge.
In Mahabharata – Bahubali Bhima took the pledge of ravaging the body of duryodhana or it was Bhishma Pitamah whose pledge shaked the 3 worlds, pledges have always been considered as an extreme measure. These were a result of deluge of thoughts in their mind when they were conditioned, they were in captivity or restrained to act immediately.

It was later by Buddha, who explained that a peaceful mind can only make correct decisions. Ashok abondoned his kingdom only after the deadly battle of Kalinga, where all his energy was drained. The outcome of battle was more henious/sickening then he could have ever imagined.
It was then he attained the peace of mind and took the right decision to give up everything.
